Polypipe Building Products is proud to introduce the IC450 range - a consolidated, high-performance solution for bases, risers, and adaptors. This range represents a significant leap forward in chamber technology, streamlining our offering while enhancing installation flexibility.
Key Transition Dates
- Launch Date: April 2025
- Discontinuation: The SFARB 450mm and ICDB/SFA 460mm ranges will be phased out starting April 2025 (subject to existing stock levels).
Technical Specifications & Compliance
The IC450 has been engineered to meet the most stringent UK industry standards and the latest 2025 regulatory updates.
1. Robust Design Standards
The range is fully compliant with:
- BS EN 13598-2:2020
- NHBC Standards 2025
- Building Regulations Part H1
- Sewerage Sector Guidance (England): Type D chambers up to 3m depth.
- Sewers for Adoption 7 (Wales): Type 3 non-entry chambers (3m max depth in vehicle areas).
- Sewers for Scotland V4.0
2. Installation Depth Capabilities
- Adoptable Apps: Up to 3m depth.
- Non-Adoptable Apps: Maximum installation depth of 6m (provided groundwater height above the base invert is less than or equal to 3m).
Base Compatibility & Adaptability
The IC450 simplifies stock requirements by offering two new push-fit bases (110mm and 160mm) designed for underground smoothwall pipe.
Multi-Material Integration
The 160mm sockets are easily convertible to other systems using specialised adaptors:
- To 150mm Polysewer: Use the PS6102 adaptor.
- To 150mm SuperSleve® Clay: Use the UG659 adaptor.
