Making Sustainability Simple
We believe that sustainability shouldn't be a chore. By establishing waste plastic collection points in over 400 Plumb Centre branches nationwide, we are helping the trade cut landfill waste while earning perks along the way.
It couldn't be simpler to get involved:
- Save your waste: Hold onto your plastic packaging, damaged products, and offcuts.
- Drop it off: Bring them with you on your next visit to your local Plumb Centre branch.
- Get rewarded: Scan the QR code on the counter to log your drop-off and receive a digital Greggs voucher - covering your next well-earned coffee and sausage roll break!

A Proven Impact
This initiative is the latest step in a multi-year project between Polypipe Building Products and Plumb Centre. The results speak for themselves: in its first year alone, the project diverted 2.8 tonnes of plastic from landfill. That is equivalent to 3.2 tonnes of carbon, the same as a return flight from Leeds to Las Vegas.
This team effort has been recognised by the industry, taking home the 'Environmental / Sustainability Initiative of the Year' at the Builders Merchants Awards in 2025.
