At Polypipe Building Products, we are committed to supporting our local community and celebrating the spirit of sport. On Saturday, we were honored to serve as the official match sponsors for Doncaster Rovers FC’s final home game of the season against Stevenage at the Eco-Power Stadium.

It was an afternoon filled with emotion, local pride, and a bit of footballing magic.

The atmosphere was electric as the legendary Billy Sharp made his final appearance in a Rovers shirt on home turf. Sharp didn't disappoint the home crowd, finding the back of the net to secure a hard-earned 1-1 draw. It was a fitting tribute to a player who has given so much to the club and the fans.

The action wasn’t just limited to the professionals! During the half-time break, we headed onto the pitch for our Polypipe Activation.

Local young fans were invited to take on our Pipe Challenge, testing their skills and speed for a chance to win some fantastic prizes. The talent and enthusiasm on display were incredible, and we want to extend a huge congratulations to everyone who stepped up to take part!

Representing the Polypipe Building Products team was Kevin Rogan, one of our dedicated storepersons. Kevin had the prestigious task of selecting the MK2 Lift Trucks Man of the Match.

Given the significance of the day and the goal that secured the draw, there was only one choice. Kevin was delighted to present the award to Billy Sharp, recognizing both his clinical performance on the day and his massive career contribution to the club.

It has been an absolute pleasure supporting Doncaster Rovers FC throughout this season. As a Doncaster-based manufacturer, seeing the community come together at the Eco-Power Stadium is what it’s all about.
