On Tuesday night, the Eco-Power Stadium played host to a thrilling encounter as Doncaster Rovers took on Luton Town. As a business deeply rooted in the local area, Polypipe Building Products was proud to be the official match sponsor for an evening that celebrated both professional football and grassroots community engagement.

The match itself was a closely contested affair. Following a tense first half, the game ended in a 1-1 draw. The highlight for the home crowd came in the second half when Brandon Hanlan found the back of the net with a brilliant equaliser to secure a well-earned point for the Rovers.

Recognising Excellence: The Man of the Match

Olivia Hatfield from Polypipe Building Products presents Brandon Hanlan with Man of the Match.

As part of our sponsorship role on Tuesday night, we had the honour of selecting the MK2 Lift Trucks Man of the Match. While there were several strong performances across the pitch, our team chose goal scorer Brandon Hanlan for the award. His impact on the game and his clinical finish in the second half made him the standout candidate for the title.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the match ball sponsors, Inspire Doncaster LTD, for their support in making the evening a success.

At Polypipe Building Products, we are always looking for creative ways to showcase our products, and Tuesday night provided the perfect opportunity. During the half-time interval, we took to the pitch for a special activation involving five young fans.

The Polypipe Challenge was designed to test precision and skill. Each child was given three attempts to kick or throw a football into three different diameters of our vertical piping. These targets were placed side-by-side approximately two metres from the line, with points awarded based on the difficulty of the target. The smaller the pipe diameter, the higher the points on offer.

The energy on the pitch was fantastic. Every participant was rewarded for their efforts with a ten pound Amazon voucher and a tub of Haribo sweets to enjoy during the second half. However, there could only be one grand prize winner. We were delighted to present the highest scorer of the night with a brand new Nintendo Switch.
